November Update

Hello Everyone!
This update is long over due.  I wanted to get to it yesterday, but the snow kept me from going anywhere.
I will share some pictures, some news and what is lurking behind the scenes.

Here is a picture of three of my students at the Elizabeth Fiber Festival on September 19, 2015.

This was a beginning drop spindle class and they all did very well.

This picture is of the yarn that my Kool-Aid dying class students did on October 16, 2015 at the 2nd Annual Heritage Arts festival in Brighton, Colorado.

This student, Tamara, left the hank twisted when she put it in to the jar and that is how she ended up with green and white stripes.

The ball on the left was done by Bobbie, she stuffed an intact ball into the jar.

These were done by Sharon.  She eyeballed the mixture in two different jars and they came out great!

As you can see we had a wonderful time and all learned a lot!

The News
I just added three new patterns to Ravelry and one of them is free!

Here is a picture of the free pattern.  Look for Beginners Lace Scarf on Ravelry and download it.
I taught this class at the Heritage Arts festival.  Some of the other ladies who came that weekend but were not able to take classes have since gotten the pattern and started theirs, they are all so different, I can't wait to see what everyone is doing.  By the way, mine was dyed with Orange Kool-Aid.

I am working on a collection of four designs called Country Sophistication.  Some of you have seen one or all of them.  The knitting is already completed, I'm just working on the tech side and making some helpful videos to go along with these designs.
Below is a picture I took of "Fall" at the Heritage Arts festival.

This is the first that I'm publicly sharing, I'm writing a book!  It is a Kool-Aid dye book and I'm so excited.  It will be at least a year before it is finished, as I'm working on an experiment that may take up to eight months.  I will update my progress here periodically, so stay tuned.

My next update will hopefully be in about two weeks, weather permitting, and I will talk a bit about time magangement and finshed projects. Until then keep stitching, dying and having a good time.
